Additional forms: mesh, flanges and fittings. Grade and product-form availability are confirmed with the quotation.

From sponge titanium to mill products

The forming process changes with the ordered product. This illustrated route follows sponge titanium and vacuum-melted ingot through the processes used for plate, pipe, bar, wire and forgings.

How titanium mill products are made
Rolling
For flat products, specify thickness, width, length and material condition.
Extrusion, forging and drawing
Product form, grade and size determine which operations apply.
Finishing and release
Machining, surface condition, MTC and heat-number traceability connect production to the purchase order.

Inspection and material documents

Agree the certificate scope, inspection requirements and report format before the order, so your QA team knows what will arrive with the material.

How to verify a mill test certificate
Material records
Mill test certificate, with EN 10204 3.1 documentation when specified and agreed.
Ordered verification
Dimensions and surface condition; positive material identification (PMI), ultrasonic testing and third-party inspection when requested and agreed.
Traceability
Heat-number references connecting material marking with the ordered test reports.
