Nickel & Nickel-Based Alloys

Nickel 200/201 and nickel-based alloy plate, bar, tube and pipe for corrosion-service, fabrication and project RFQs.

Nickel and nickel-based alloys are used where corrosion resistance, heat resistance, chemical compatibility or electrical performance is required beyond common stainless steel. Buyers usually specify nickel material by alloy grade, product form, dimensions, tolerance, surface condition and the inspection documents needed for the project. Typical procurement requests may involve nickel tube, pipe, sheet, plate, bar, strip, wire or drawing-based components for chemical processing, energy, electrochemical, marine, battery-related and high-temperature industrial equipment.
Beiyu handles nickel RFQs as a technical material request rather than a generic catalog item. A clear inquiry should include alloy grade such as Nickel 200 / 201, Alloy 625, Alloy 800 / 825 or the buyer’s specified UNS designation, together with standard, size, wall thickness or plate thickness, quantity, surface condition and delivery requirement. If the material is used for pressure equipment, heat exchangers, corrosive media or high-temperature service, include the drawing or project specification so the quotation can follow the required acceptance route.

Use the nickel-alloy forgings guide for rings, discs and blocks, and the nickel alloys for caustic service guide for Nickel 200/201 form-to-standard mapping.

For a company-page comparison before quotation, use the nickel alloy suppliers list; it records what six supplier-owned pages state and keeps missing fields open for RFQ clarification.

Current nickel alloy product pages include Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 tubes, nickel alloy pipes and Alloy 825 tubing. For quotation, send grade, standard, dimensions, tolerance, quantity, application media, document requirements and destination country. Mill test certificate, chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional inspection, PMI testing or third-party inspection should be requested before quotation when required by the buyer.

Specification detail with sources

The ranges quoted across this category are family level rather than alloy level. The Beiyu Titanium supply ranges put nickel round bar at Ø5.0 mm to 300 mm with length to 6000 mm, sheet at 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm thick in widths to 1200 mm and plate at 3.0 mm to 70 mm thick in widths to 2500 mm, seamless tube at outside diameter 5 mm to 325 mm with wall 0.5 mm to 12 mm, and welded tube reaching outside diameter 1219 mm. They do not mean every alloy is available in every form at every size, and the ordered combination is confirmed at quotation.

Standards in this category are listed per alloy family, and the family carries a different list on each product listing. Nickel 200 and 201 are quoted against ASTM B160 on the bar listing, B162 on the sheet and plate listing, and B163 on the tube listing. The Hastelloy family moves the same way, carrying B572, B574 and B335 on the bar listing, B575, B333, B435 and B619 on the sheet and plate listing, and B622, B619 and B626 on the tube listing. Which document governs a given order is settled by the order itself, and the EN 10204 3.1 certificate reports against the one it names.

Choose the alloy family and product form

A family name is not a complete purchase specification. The RFQ should connect alloy designation, product form, dimensions, condition and inspection documents to the intended fabrication or service environment.

RFQ and supply review for nickel alloys

State the alloy designation and UNS, product form, dimensions, condition, quantity and ordered ASTM or ASME specification. Add the drawing revision, tolerance, heat-treatment requirement and any dimensional inspection, NDT, MTC or EN 10204 3.1 scope required by the purchase order.

Price and production schedule depend on alloy family, form, dimensions, condition, heat treatment, inspection, documentation, quantity and the current qualified supply route. Minimum quantity, stock position and lead time are confirmed case by case after the complete specification is reviewed.

RFQ sequence: Alloy and form → dimensions and condition → inspection and document scope → quotation against the reviewed supply route.
