Titanium Forgings
Titanium forged blanks, rings, blocks, sleeves and near-net parts for machining and pressure-equipment work.
Beiyu supplies custom titanium forgings and forged machining blanks as blocks, rings, discs, flange blanks, shaft blanks and drawing-based shapes. For an ASTM B381 RFQ, provide alloy grade, drawing revision, quantity, final dimensions, forging-blank dimensions, machining allowance, heat-treatment condition and required inspection. Grain-flow requirements, ultrasonic testing, dimensional reports, third-party inspection, heat or part marking and export protection apply only when specified in the drawing or purchase order. Keeping the final part geometry separate from the forging envelope prevents incorrect material and machining estimates. Review the ASTM B381 forgings guide, Grade 5 forging block or the forging grade-selection guide before submitting drawings.

Titanium forging specifications
Beiyu supplies hot-forged titanium in commercially pure and alloy grades as round bar, ring, disc, block and drawing-based shaped parts, machined bright. State the form, dimensions, grade and standard so the quotation can be reviewed against the drawing and governing specification.
| Form | Dimensions | Surface |
|---|---|---|
| Forged round bar | Ø 50-500 mm, length ≤3000 mm | machined bright |
| Ring | OD 50-2000 mm, ID 10-900 mm, height 20-400 mm | machined bright |
| Disc | OD 50-2000 mm, thickness 20-500 mm | machined bright |
| Block | up to 600 mm | machined bright |
Grades: Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 16, 17 and 23, plus Ti-6242, Ti-6246 and Ti-15333.
Standards: ASTM B381 or ASME SB-381 is the primary industrial forging route. AMS or medical-material specifications apply only when the purchase order explicitly cites the exact product form, revision and acceptance scope.
For grade selection see the ASTM B381 forgings guide and the titanium grades comparison guide. Forgings are supplied to a drawing or specification.
Send the form, dimensions or drawing, grade, machining allowance, standard and required inspection or document scope. MTC and EN 10204 3.1 documentation are included only when quoted and ordered.
Request a quoteHow ordering works for titanium forgings
Forgings are made to drawing, so minimum quantity and lead time are confirmed after the finished dimensions, input weight, grade, heat treatment, machining allowance and inspection scope are reviewed. Ultrasonic inspection and third-party witness points are included only when required by the ordered standard, drawing, inspection plan or purchase order.
Beiyu quotes from the buyer's drawing with the process route, test plan and certificate scope stated up front. Price follows input weight versus finished weight, grade, heat treatment, testing scope and machining allowance. Available shapes include discs, rings, blocks, shafts, sleeves, flange forgings and bar forgings in as-forged, rough-machined or proof-machined condition.
| ASTM B381 grade | UNS | Matching grade | Typical selection context |
|---|---|---|---|
| F-2 | R50400 | Grade 2 | Chemical and marine pressure parts |
| F-3 | R50550 | Grade 3 | Higher-strength CP parts |
| F-5 | R56400 | Grade 5 | Structural and machined parts |
| F-7 | R52400 | Grade 7 | Reducing-acid service |
| F-12 | R53400 | Grade 12 | Hot brine and crevice-corrosion service |
| F-23 | R56407 | Grade 23 ELI per B381 | ELI forgings where B381 F-23 is specified |
Selected Grade 5 forging samples to ASTM B381-21 have been independently tested for tensile and yield strength, Brinell hardness, grain size and metallography; the inspection and acceptance scope for a new order is confirmed against the ordered standard, drawing, inspection plan and purchase order, and past sample reports are not a universal performance guarantee.
Forging stock or its package is linked to the heat number and applicable mill test certificate when required by the ordered specification and purchase order.
MOQ, stock and export scope: Minimum quantity, stock position, packing and lead time are confirmed in the quotation after the RFQ and drawing are reviewed.
Titanium Forgings RFQ questions
Which Titanium Forgings grade should be specified?
Select the grade by service medium, strength requirement, forming or machining route and any buyer drawing. Common options in this category include Gr 2, Gr 5, Gr 7, Gr 12.
Which standards apply to Titanium Forgings RFQs?
The purchase order should state the applicable material or project standard. Typical references for this category include ASTM B381, ASME SB-381, Drawing review, UT / PMI.
What information should be sent for quotation?
Send grade, standard, dimensions, tolerance, quantity, surface condition, application, destination and required documents such as MTC or EN 10204 3.1.

Specification detail with sources
ASTM B381 designates titanium forging grades with an F prefix and sets the acceptance minimums forged blanks are bought against: annealed F-5 Ti-6Al-4V at 895 MPa minimum tensile strength with 828 MPa minimum yield. B381 assigns UNS R56407 to the ELI forging grade F-23, while ASTM F136 is the route that assigns R56401, so a forging purchase order for implant machining stock should name the standard and UNS pair it actually needs. AMS 4928 covers forgings as well as bar and carries a 130 ksi minimum tensile requirement for annealed Ti-6Al-4V, the ordering route when the drawing calls AMS rather than ASTM.
Beiyu Titanium supplies forged rounds from 50 to 500 mm diameter in lengths to 3,000 mm, forged rings from 50 to 2,000 mm OD with bores from 10 to 900 mm and heights from 20 to 400 mm, forged discs from 50 to 2,000 mm OD at 20 to 500 mm thickness, and forged blocks from 50 to 600 mm section. Beiyu quotes forgings in the R and M conditions of GB/T 2965 (hot-worked and annealed) with a rough-turned surface, so a drawing RFQ that states final geometry plus machining allowance can be sized against these envelopes when the forging blank is agreed in the first review.
Getting to that first review starts with the drawing itself, and what it has to carry is described in forging shape and drawing.
