Titanium Strip Foil
Titanium strip, foil and coil for thin-gauge formed parts, heat-transfer components and electrochemical applications.
Titanium strip, foil and coil are used where thin-gauge titanium is required for forming, stamping, heat transfer parts, electrochemical components, medical-related assemblies and precision industrial fabrication. Typical enquiries involve Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 5 or Grade 7 titanium in cold rolled, annealed, pickled or surface-finished condition according to drawing and application requirements.Important RFQ details include thickness, width, coil weight or sheet length, tolerance, edge condition, surface finish, flatness, quantity and certificate requirement. Buyers should also state whether the material will be stamped, welded, formed, etched or used in a corrosive medium, because these details affect grade selection and inspection scope. Protective export packing is also important for thin material, especially where surface marks, edge damage or coil deformation could affect later processing.

Grade 1 Titanium Foil Roll | ASTM B265 Thin Titanium FoilGrade 1 titanium foil roll for thin-gauge forming, electrochemical parts, heat transfer, shielding and precision industrial assembliesView & RFQ > Titanium strip, foil and coil selection
Titanium strip and foil are quoted by gauge and coil geometry rather than grade alone. Identify whether the order is coil, slit strip, foil roll, thin sheet or cut blanks, then define the forming, corrosion or strength requirement that drives grade selection.
| Product route | Common selection context | RFQ inputs to define |
|---|---|---|
| Grade 1 / 2 strip coil | ASTM B265 / ASME SB265 thin-gauge forming and industrial strip | Grade, thickness, width, coil ID/OD or coil weight, edge, surface and tolerance |
| Grade 5 foil or thin sheet | Ti-6Al-4V applications requiring higher strength | Thickness, width, coil or flat form, condition, tolerance, surface and inspection scope |
| Grade 7 strip | Corrosion-service formed parts and equipment components | Grade 7 requirement, gauge, width, coil or cut length, tolerance, surface and medium |
| Grade 1 foil roll | Thin-gauge forming, electrochemical and heat-transfer parts | Thickness, width, coil ID, surface, edge and ASTM B265 requirement |
Condition and documents: Annealed, cold-rolled, pickled or other surface and condition requirements must be stated on the RFQ. MTC, EN 10204 3.1, heat or lot traceability, protective covering and special packing are included only when ordered.
Send grade, gauge, width, coil geometry or cut length, tolerance, edge, surface, quantity and document scope.
Request a strip or foil quoteHow ordering works for titanium strip, foil and coil
Strip and foil are slit and rolled to order, with quantity and schedule confirmed by route. A precision custom-melt route to ASTM F67 and ASTM B265 is scheduled from technical and commercial order release rather than from enquiry, with the melt itself part of the order. Other strip routes are quoted separately.
In that program, quoted capability included thickness tolerance of plus or minus 0.0005 inch on gauges from 0.010 to 0.020 inch, with plus or minus 0.0003 inch on a selected item at additional cost. Width tolerance was plus or minus 0.005 inch on the listed slit widths, and a matte finish of Ra 15 to 35 microinches was specified on selected items. These are quote-based examples, not universal tolerances.
Protective film or paper-liner covering is available and quoted separately. COC and EN 10204 3.1 MTC with heat or lot traceability can be supplied when included in the ordered specification and purchase order scope. Price follows grade, gauge, width, tolerance, surface, covering and quantity.
MOQ, stock and export scope: Minimum quantity, stock position, packing and lead time are confirmed in the quotation after the RFQ is reviewed.
Titanium Strip Foil RFQ questions
Which Titanium Strip Foil grade should be specified?
Select the grade by service medium, strength requirement, forming or machining route and any buyer drawing. Common options in this category include Gr 1, Gr 2, Gr 5, Gr 7.
Which standards apply to Titanium Strip Foil RFQs?
The purchase order should state the applicable material or project standard. Typical references for this category include ASTM B265, Cold rolled, Annealed, Pickled surface.
What information should be sent for quotation?
Send grade, standard, dimensions, tolerance, quantity, surface condition, application, destination and required documents such as MTC or EN 10204 3.1.

Specification detail with sources
ASTM B265 is the purchase standard behind titanium strip and foil enquiries, and its ductility floors are what thin-gauge forming work is selected on: annealed Grade 1 is accepted at 240 MPa minimum tensile strength with yield between 138 and 310 MPa and 24 percent minimum elongation, the most formable CP grade in the table, while Grade 2 trades formability for strength at 345 MPa minimum tensile with 20 percent minimum elongation. That four-point elongation difference, 24 against 20 percent, is the practical selector between deep-formed parts and general stamped work before any coating or joining question arises.
Beiyu Titanium supplies titanium foil from 0.02 to 0.3 mm thickness at widths to 600 mm in coil, and thin-gauge strip and sheet from 0.5 to 3 mm at widths to 1,500 mm in lengths to 6,000 mm. Beiyu rolls this range hot and then cold, finishes it cold-rolled bright or pickled, and quotes condition by the R, M and Y codes of GB/T 2965 (hot-worked, annealed and cold-worked), so a strip or foil RFQ that fixes thickness, width, coil or cut length, surface and condition code names every variable Beiyu needs to confirm the rolling route.
Supply envelope for strip and foil
Thickness decides both the product name and the route, so an enquiry near a boundary should name the thickness before it names the form.
| Form | Thickness | Width | Surface |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foil | 0.02 mm to 0.3 mm | to 600 mm | cold rolled bright |
| Strip and thin sheet | 0.5 mm to 3 mm | to 1,500 mm | bright, pickled or polished |
Material below about 0.3 mm is normally described as foil and thicker gauges as strip or thin sheet, with the band between them quoted case by case. The envelope above is the Beiyu Titanium production capability, not a claim that every grade and temper is available at every thickness, and slit width and edge condition are confirmed with the order.
