Sheet and plate minimum quantity and production schedule are confirmed after the grade, thickness, width, quantity, surface and document scope are reviewed. Wide material is scheduled separately from standard widths, with rolling, flatness and yield reviewed before the order is confirmed. Other grades, widths and standards are scheduled on their own terms.
Material or its bundle and package is marked or tagged with the heat number when required by the ordered specification and purchase order. The applicable mill test certificate ties reported chemistry and mechanical results to that heat. Price follows grade, dimensions, quantity, surface condition and inspection scope.
- ASME SB-265 adopts the corresponding ASTM B265 material specification.
- Code orders should state the required ASME edition and Code context on the purchase order.
- Wide, thin, heavy or AMS 4911 material is scheduled after rolling, flatness, testing and yield requirements are reviewed.

ASTM B265 draws the boundary between titanium sheet and plate at 0.1875 in (4.75 mm): flat product thinner than that is ordered as sheet or strip, product at or above it as plate, and the tolerance tables differ on each side of the line. Annealed Grade 2 under B265 is accepted at 345 MPa minimum tensile strength with yield between 275 and 450 MPa, while Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V plate is accepted at 895 MPa minimum tensile with 828 MPa minimum yield, and these are the values a mill test certificate is checked against at receipt.
Beiyu Titanium supplies titanium sheet and plate in two envelopes: 0.5 to 3 mm thickness at widths to 1,500 mm, and 3 to 70 mm thickness at widths to 2,500 mm, both in lengths to 6,000 mm.
