Grade 1 titanium foil purchases fail when the alloy name substitutes for an ultra-thin product definition. UNS R50250 identifies the commercially pure grade, but the order still needs a foil-versus-strip boundary, ASTM B265 or other governing route, finished thickness and tolerance, width, temper, surface, pinhole or light-tightness rule, coil/cut-sheet delivery and protective packaging. The five company pages below expose different combinations of those fields; none removes the need for a matched RFQ.
How this five-company source set was built
We froze the query Grade 1 titanium foil supplier ASTM B265 R50250 on 1 September 2026. An eligible source had to be company-owned, explicitly identify Grade 1 foil and expose a useful field such as UNS identity, standard, thickness, width, temper, rolling route, edge or delivery form. Beiyu, excluded-geography companies, marketplaces, directories and rankings were removed. Generic titanium-foil pages without a Grade 1 line and pages whose dimensions described ordinary sheet rather than foil were removed.
| Company | Page type | What the page exposes | What the buyer must verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goodfellow | Grade 1 foil product group | R50250 foil configurations, thickness/size, temper and B265 fields | Return the exact SKU/custom route, usable dimensions, temper, standard scope and lot documents |
| HZW / Metal Strip Solutions | Grade 1 foil page | R50250, B265, annealed condition, thickness, width, edge and coil core | Confirm finished tolerance, edge, coil build, surface, pinhole rule and actual production route |
| TSM Technology | Titanium foil page | Grade 1 in the foil grade list, thickness/width and B265/AMS routes | Choose one standard and bind Grade 1, thickness band, condition and tests to the offered lot |
| Chalco Titanium | Grade 1 foil section | Grade 1 foil thickness, width and coil/cut-sheet delivery fields | Return R50250 heat evidence, finished geometry, surface, defect rule and coil or sheet packing |
| Stanford Advanced Materials | Titanium foil page | Grade 1/R50250, B265, cold-rolled surface and a theoretical-data caution | Treat values as discovery only and request actual lot identity, tolerance, condition and inspection |

Define foil performance beyond nominal thickness
The word foil has no useful acceptance value without a thickness and measurement method. State whether tolerance applies at every measured point, to an average, or to a mapped usable area. If pinholes matter, define the light source, inspection distance, defect size/count and whether an edge zone is excluded. Coil purchases need core ID, maximum OD or mass, winding tension, telescoping and splice rules; cut sheets need flatness, interleave and protected corners. Grade 1’s high ductility does not excuse wrinkles, edge waves or handling damage. Keep application claims separate from the measurable incoming criteria.
| Decision field | Buyer input | Required supplier return |
|---|---|---|
| Identity/route | Grade 1 / UNS R50250 and exact B265/AMS/F67/customer revision | Actual heat chemistry, ordered condition and deviations |
| Geometry | Finished thickness, local/average tolerance, width, length and edge | Measurement method, sampling grid, results and usable area |
| Surface/defects | Finish, cleanliness, roll marks, scratches, pinholes or light-tightness | Inspection lighting/method, defect size/count rule and actual report |
| Delivery form | Coil or cut sheet, core ID, maximum OD/weight, winding and splice rule | Actual pack map, interleave, flatness or coil-set and splice disclosure |
| Handling | Glove/cleanliness controls, separator, moisture barrier and bend protection | Packing construction, labels, storage limits and opening instructions |
Where quotations diverge in practice
For a formed diaphragm or thin corrosion barrier, give the finished blank, draw ratio, critical radii, tool-contact face and allowed grain/rolling direction. Ask for trial material from the intended production route before committing to the full lot because surface friction, coil set and local thickness variation can change forming behavior. If the foil is welded, bonded or diffusion processed, define cleanliness and separator materials that will not contaminate the surface. A mill chemistry result cannot validate the finished assembly; forming trials, leak testing and joint qualification stay with the part program. Add vacuum-pickup limits, release-liner chemistry, static-control practice, crease rejection and nesting orientation for individual blanks. These handling controls belong to delicate foil conversion and cannot be inferred from ordinary slit-strip packaging.

Inspection and traceability traps
Ultra-thin catalogue values are often presented without a tolerance, inspection grid or minimum order. Avoid copying those ranges into the acceptance plan. Review the original MTC for Grade 1/R50250, then add rolling/annealing and final thickness records tied to each coil or sheet pack. Make sure a generic tensile range is not applied across every foil thickness without the ordered standard’s correct specimen rules. If the supplier calls the same gauge both strip and foil, force one contractual product name and a complete dimensional/defect clause so that receiving inspection has a single basis.
Send one controlled RFQ return schedule
Send the same return schedule to every candidate and require line-by-line answers. Blank cells, unpriced options and exceptions should remain visible so that an attractive total cannot conceal a different material route or document package.
| RFQ group | Buyer states | Supplier returns |
|---|---|---|
| Use/spec | Application, Grade 1/R50250 and controlling B265/AMS/F67/customer revision | Exact offered route, condition, source, deviations and boundary |
| Foil | Thickness/tolerance, width/length, edge and usable area | Capability, measurement method, sampling map and actual results |
| Surface | Finish, cleanliness, roll marks, scratches, pinholes/light-tightness | Inspection setup, acceptance criteria, handling and report |
| Pack | Coil or sheet, core/OD/weight, winding, splice, interleave and moisture barrier | Actual package map, labels, net weight and opening/storage instructions |
| Documents | MTC, processing history, dimensional and defect inspection, traceability | Release index linked to heat, coil and every cut-sheet pack |
| Commercial | Trial quantity, production quantity, destination and required date | MOQ, yield basis, schedule, validity and exclusions |
How Beiyu handles the same enquiry
Beiyu is outside the five-company comparison. Its Grade 1 foil enquiry route asks for R50250 heat identity, controlling standard and foil definition, finished thickness/tolerance/measurement method, width or cut-sheet dimensions, condition and surface, pinhole or light-tightness rule, edge, coil or sheet build, processing/assembly inputs, inspection, traceability, quantity, protective packing and destination. A broad titanium-foil range is not treated as evidence for an ultra-thin line.
Use the Grade 1 titanium foil roll, general titanium foil suppliers comparison, general strip and coil suppliers comparison, how to compare titanium quotations to check the product route, the broader supplier landscape and the relevant specification/RFQ controls. Send one controlled RFQ with drawings, quantity, inspection scope, required date and destination; compare returned exceptions before comparing totals.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B265, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Beiyu supplies foil 0.02 to 0.3 mm thick in widths to 600 mm, and sheet from 0.5 mm upward in widths to 1500 mm.
These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B265 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
