Product Introduction
Nickel Alloy Pipe and Tube for Industrial Equipment
Nickel alloy pipe and tube are used when the process environment requires corrosion resistance, heat resistance or alloy compatibility beyond common stainless steel. Typical RFQs may involve Alloy 625, Alloy 825, Alloy 800H, Alloy C276, Monel 400, Nickel 200 / 201 or another buyer-specified nickel alloy. The correct alloy depends on media, temperature, chloride level, acid concentration, pressure design, fabrication route and the project specification.
Beiyu handles nickel alloy pipe and tube quotations according to the material grade, standard, dimensions, tolerance and document requirement supplied by the buyer. This page is intended for procurement teams, engineers and fabricators who already have a grade or drawing requirement and need a technical quotation rather than a generic product list.
Common Nickel Alloy RFQ Forms
- Seamless nickel alloy pipe and tube for process lines, heat exchangers and equipment assemblies.
- Welded nickel alloy pipe and tube when the project specification allows welded construction.
- Cut-to-length pipe or tube for maintenance, fabrication or replacement projects.
- Drawing-based components where pipe or tube is further machined, bent, welded or assembled.
Grade and Standards
Nickel alloy pipe and tube RFQs should specify the exact alloy designation and standard. Depending on the grade and product form, buyers may reference ASTM or ASME specifications such as ASTM B163, ASTM B423, ASTM B444, ASTM B622, ASTM B626, ASTM B704, ASTM B705 or project-specific equivalents. Because standards vary by alloy and seamless or welded route, the purchase specification should define the acceptance requirement before ordering.
Applications
Nickel alloy pipe and tube are used in chemical processing, petrochemical equipment, heat exchangers, evaporators, acid handling, seawater-related systems, power equipment, furnace components and high-temperature industrial service. Alloy 625 is often selected for chloride and seawater-related corrosion resistance. Alloy 825 is used in sulfuric and phosphoric acid-related environments when specified by the engineer. Alloy C276 may be selected for severe corrosive media, while Alloy 800H is associated with high-temperature equipment. Final material selection should be made by the buyer's design or corrosion engineer.
Inspection and Documentation
Procurement requirements may include mill test certificate, heat number traceability, chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional inspection, hydrostatic test, eddy-current test, PMI testing or third-party inspection. If EN10204 3.1 documentation is required, state it at quotation stage. For pressure equipment, heat exchanger service or regulated projects, include the design code and inspection notes from the drawing.
RFQ Checklist
Send alloy grade, UNS number if available, standard, seamless or welded route, outside diameter, wall thickness, length, quantity, tolerance, surface condition, end condition, packing requirement, inspection documents and destination country. If the order is for a replacement project, include photos, old part markings or equipment drawings. Clear technical input helps avoid quoting the wrong nickel alloy route for the actual service environment.
Packaging and Export Information
Available packing options include capped ends, bundles, moisture protection, and wooden cases or pallets with edge protection. Required heat and specification marking and the final packing configuration are confirmed by destination, transport mode, quotation and purchase order.
FAQ
Which nickel alloy should be used for corrosive service?
The alloy should be selected by the buyer's engineer according to media, concentration, temperature, chlorides, pressure and fabrication route. Alloy 625, Alloy 825, Alloy C276 and Monel 400 serve different corrosion environments.
Can nickel alloy pipe be supplied as seamless or welded?
RFQs may involve seamless or welded pipe depending on alloy, size, standard and project requirement. State the required route in the inquiry so the quotation follows the correct specification.
What documents can be requested?
Common requests include MTC, chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional inspection, PMI testing or third-party inspection. EN10204 3.1 should be stated before quotation when required.

Why the alloy name is not enough to quote against
Nickel alloys are ordered by name more often than any other family we supply, and the name is the part that cannot be accepted against. Trade names travel between producers, while a UNS number and a governing specification are what a certificate reports to. An enquiry that carries only the alloy name leaves three things open at once: which composition table applies, which product document covers the form being bought, and which delivery condition is meant.
The form matters as much as the alloy. Seamless and welded tube are different products with different acceptance histories, and the same alloy is covered by different documents depending on whether it is supplied as pipe, tube, plate, rod or fitting. Naming the alloy and the outside diameter does not settle either question. An enquiry that carries the alloy with its UNS number, the governing specification, seamless or welded, dimensions with tolerance, the delivery condition, the surface condition and the inspection scope can be quoted on the first pass. Beiyu Titanium reviews those fields before quotation and issues an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate with heat number traceability, its reporting scope set by the order. The same discipline that applies on titanium applies here: a reported value is read against the method that produced it, and a heat analysis is not interchangeable with a later product analysis.

Nickel alloy categorySpecification detail with sources
The Beiyu Titanium supply ranges publish seamless tube at outside diameter 5 mm to 325 mm with wall 0.5 mm to 12 mm and length to 12000 mm, welded tube at outside diameter 6.35 mm to 1219 mm with wall 0.5 mm to 25 mm and the same length ceiling, and capillary tube at outside diameter 1 mm to 5 mm with wall 0.1 mm to 2 mm and length to 6000 mm.
Those ranges are stated for the nickel family and do not mean every alloy is available in every row at every size. The welded row reaches 1219 mm outside diameter where the seamless row stops at 325 mm, so a large diameter enquiry is a welded tube enquiry unless the specification says otherwise. Naming the row first saves a round of correspondence that a diameter alone will usually cost. The documents are listed by alloy family rather than by tube form: ASTM B163 against Nickel 200 and 201, B622, B619 and B626 against the Hastelloy family, B163, B165 and B725 against Monel, and longer lists against the Inconel and Incoloy families, the ASTM B numbers in them each carrying an ASME SB adoption.
