Titanium Cathode Plate for Electrochemical Equipment
Titanium cathode plates are used in electrolysis, electrowinning, hydrometallurgy and electrochemical processing equipment where corrosion resistance, flatness and repeatable dimensions are important. The plate is usually quoted from a drawing because hole pattern, hanger design, edge condition and surface finish affect installation and stripping behavior.
Common titanium grades include Grade 1 and Grade 2. The final grade, thickness, surface and inspection scope should be confirmed by the equipment design and purchase specification.

Specification detail with sources
A cathode plate is the one item in an electrode set with nothing applied to it, which makes the plate specification the whole of the acceptance rather than half of it. There is no coating record to fall back on and no plating thickness to argue about. What arrives is a titanium plate, and it is judged on thickness with tolerance, flatness, surface condition, edge condition and how the hanger or connection area is prepared.
Grade 1 is the usual choice here, and it is chosen for formability rather than for strength, which matters on a plate that gets bent, drilled and hung. The figure worth reading on the certificate is hydrogen, because it is the one element the specification treats differently by stage: in the bar and billet specification ASTM B348, hydrogen has to be reported on the finished product, while reporting it on the ingot is not required (ASTM B348, chemical requirements table notes). That specification covers bar and billet rather than plate, so it is not the acceptance basis for a cathode plate, but the distinction between an ingot figure and a finished-product figure travels across forms and is worth naming on the order.
