Packaging and Export Information
Inconel 625 plate should be packed to protect plate surfaces, cut edges and heat-number identification during export shipment. Depending on size and quantity, packing may use waterproof wrapping, separation material, pallets or wooden cases. Labels should identify material grade, standard, heat number, size and quantity when traceability is required.FAQ
What should be included in an Inconel 625 plate RFQ?
Include UNS N06625, standard, condition, thickness, width, length, surface condition, cutting requirement, quantity and certificate scope. What is the difference between ASTM B443 Grade 1 and Grade 2?
Under ASTM B443, Grade 1 and Grade 2 refer to different heat-treated conditions for UNS N06625 plate, sheet and strip. The required condition should be taken from the buyer's specification. Can Beiyu quote cut-to-size Inconel 625 plate?
Yes. Send the drawing or cutting list, tolerance, edge requirement, inspection documents and destination country so the quotation can include material and processing scope.Application and Procurement Review
Inconel 625 / UNS N06625 plate is commonly specified for chloride-containing environments, seawater-related equipment, chemical processing, heat-resistant components, offshore equipment and welded fabrications where the engineering document calls for Alloy 625 plate. The RFQ should identify the exact standard and condition because ASTM B443, ASME SB-443 and AMS 5599 orders can carry different acceptance expectations. For cut plate or fabricated blanks, send the drawing, cutting list, thickness, width, length, tolerance, flatness, surface condition and edge requirement. If the plate will be welded, formed, machined or used in pressure equipment, include the applicable design code and inspection clauses at quotation stage.Inspection and Documentation
Nickel alloy plate orders often require mill test certificate, EN10204 3.1 documentation, heat number traceability, chemical composition, mechanical properties, PMI, dimensional inspection and third-party inspection. If Grade 1 annealed or Grade 2 solution annealed condition is required under ASTM B443, state it clearly in the purchase specification.Procurement Checklist
- UNS N06625 / Alloy 625 standard and heat-treatment condition.
- Plate thickness, width, length, surface finish, cutting and tolerance.
- MTC, EN10204 3.1, PMI, third-party inspection or project documentation.
- Quantity, packing method, destination and required delivery timing.
Additional Technical Notes
For Inconel 625 plate used in welded structures, include welding, forming, cutting and post-processing notes in the RFQ. If the project is for offshore, chemical or pressure-related equipment, state whether the plate must follow ASTM B443, ASME SB-443, AMS 5599 or another customer specification. Plate condition, heat number traceability and EN10204 3.1 documentation should be agreed before quotation, not after production.Final RFQ Details
For repeat Inconel 625 plate orders, keep the previous heat number, MTC, drawing revision and acceptance notes together with the new inquiry. This reduces the risk of quoting the wrong heat-treatment condition, plate size, cutting route or documentation package.Common Applications

The delivery condition is the field that decides what arrives
Alloy 625 is one of the materials where the delivery condition changes the intended service rather than just the paperwork. More than one condition is supplied under the same alloy designation, and they are not interchangeable: one is aimed at service where corrosion resistance and formability lead, the other at sustained elevated temperature. A plate order that names the alloy, the specification and the thickness but leaves the condition blank has left the field that decides which of those two the buyer receives.
The alloy identity itself needs the same care. UNS N06625 is what fixes the composition table, since trade names for this alloy appear across producers and are not contract language. On the plate side the fields that decide acceptance are thickness with its tolerance, flatness, edge condition and surface finish, each stated apart from the metallurgical condition rather than folded into it. Beiyu Titanium reviews the alloy with its UNS number, the governing specification, thickness and plate size with tolerance, the delivery condition, the surface condition and the inspection scope before quotation, and issues an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate with heat number traceability whose reporting scope is set by the order.

The Beiyu Titanium supply ranges publish nickel alloy plate at 3.0 mm to 70 mm thick in widths to 2500 mm and lengths to 6000 mm, and sheet at 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm thick in widths to 1200 mm. Inconel 625 sits in those ranges under the UNS designation N06625.
Trade name and UNS number are not interchangeable on a purchase order. Inconel is a trade name, while N06625 is what fixes the composition the certificate is compared against, so the order should carry the UNS designation alongside the thickness and the product specification. A thickness on its own decides none of the other fields an order line needs: tolerance, delivery condition, surface and inspection scope are each set separately.
