Method and comparison scope
This company-page selection was checked on 1 September 2026 and is due for review on 1 March 2027. We retained accessible company pages that expressly present a titanium build platform, substrate or base plate for metal additive manufacturing and expose a buyer-verifiable field. A rectangular titanium blank is not automatically a machine-ready build plate. Machine interface, alloy, drawing revision, thickness, flatness, parallelism, surface condition, holes and features, heat treatment and inspection must describe one finished deliverable.
| Company page | Role shown | Useful published fields | What the quotation must clarify |
|---|---|---|---|
| BOZE Metal | Titanium processor / machining supplier | Grade 5/23, named LPBF machine families, custom CAD interface, heat treatment, grinding, geometry and inspection options. | Actual starting form and certificate. The page cites bar/medical/aerospace routes for a plate-shaped interface, so the governing material line needs explicit agreement. |
| Shaanxi Milling Metal | Titanium manufacturer / supplier | Grades 2/5/23, page-stated thickness and plan dimensions, custom shapes, machining, flatness inspection and additive use. | Starting form, heat route and certificate. The page mixes several material specifications that should not be copied as one combined standard. |
| DLX Alloy | Alloy manufacturer / supplier | Customized titanium-alloy substrate for LPBF, commercial order fields, material, surface and application descriptions. | Drawing revision, alloy, machine interface, objective inspection and evidence for any broad performance statement. |
| Ruicheng Titanium | Titanium-material supplier | Titanium plate for 3D-printing/build-platform use, customized enquiry path and page-published configuration fields. | Whether the quote covers a machine-ready plate or a rectangular blank; require holes, datums, flatness, parallelism and surface state. |
| CXMET | Titanium-material manufacturer / supplier | SLM/EBM substrate framing, several titanium grades, page-stated size/thickness, surface and flatness fields. | Project-specific feasibility and acceptance. Broad performance or process-temperature statements should not become universal design facts. |
Separate material route from machine interface
A build plate has two specifications at once. The material line controls alloy, starting form, heat history and traceability; the interface drawing controls external shape, datums, holes, threads, thickness, flatness, parallelism and surface. Neither one can safely be inferred from a printer-family name. Reuse history and resurfacing allowance may add a third boundary.
| Decision | Why it matters | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| Starting material | Plate, forged stock and bar-derived stock can carry different certification and directional-property implications. | Named starting form, specification/edition, heat condition and material certificate. |
| Machine interface | Nominal plan size does not define datums, hole pattern, counterbores, threads or edge features. | Approved drawing and supplier ballooned inspection report. |
| Functional geometry | Thickness, flatness and parallelism interact with clamping, recoater clearance and resurfacing. | Measurement method, datum scheme, tolerance after finish and inspection record. |
| Surface and lifecycle | As-ground, textured, used and resurfaced states are not equivalent. | Initial finish, treatment, minimum retirement thickness and permitted rework plan. |

Send one controlled titanium build-plate RFQ
Attach a controlled drawing rather than relying on a printer name or screenshot. Give every candidate the same material line, finished geometry and inspection plan. Any proposed alternative starting form or standard should be listed as a deviation.
| RFQ field | Minimum entry | Common ambiguity |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Alloy/grade, starting form, governing specification and edition, condition and traceability. | “Ti-6Al-4V plate” without Grade 5/23 or certificate route. |
| Drawing | Revision, units, datums, finished outline, holes, threads, counterbores, radii and edge break. | Printer model used as the only interface definition. |
| Geometry | Thickness, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity and measurement state/method. | A flatness number without datum, temperature or inspection method. |
| Surface and treatment | Grinding/milling/texturing, roughness, heat treatment, cleaning and protected areas. | “Machined finish” without Ra or functional surface identification. |
| Acceptance and delivery | Certificate, dimensional report, surface record, marking, packaging, quantity and required date. | Inspection promised without a report format or sampling plan. |
Where Beiyu fits
Beiyu’s titanium build-plate enquiry page is the destination for a drawing-controlled plate. If the scope is a broader finished component rather than the printer interface, the machined-parts company comparison is the better discovery route.
How to use this comparison
Eliminate candidates that cannot confirm the starting material and drawing revision, then compare inspection scope and lifecycle assumptions. Use Beiyu’s guide to comparing titanium quotations to normalize exceptions, and the supplier-vetting checklist to verify identity and records before an order.
Related Beiyu pages
The four linked Beiyu pages keep build-plate enquiry, general machining discovery, quotation normalization and due diligence separate. Recheck the company pages at the next review date and reissue the RFQ whenever the printer interface or minimum reusable thickness changes.
Published by Beiyu Titanium. This page compares five company-owned pages for titanium build plates, substrates or base plates used in metal additive manufacturing. It is not a supplier ranking. Sequence follows the frozen discovery record, and Beiyu is not included in the compared set.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B265, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Beiyu supplies thin plate and sheet 0.5 to 3 mm thick in widths to 1500 mm, and heavy plate 3 to 70 mm thick in widths to 2500 mm, both in lengths to 6000 mm, with surface condition stated on the order.
These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B265 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
