Grade 5 titanium plate is not one interchangeable Ti-6Al-4V line. ASTM B265 commercial plate, AMS 4911 aerospace sheet and plate, annealed material, solution-treated-and-aged material and customer-controlled stock can carry different process, testing and approval obligations. Five company-owned sources met the rule, but their visible ranges must be translated into one controlled plate RFQ before price and lead time are comparable.
How the five company sources were selected
We froze the query Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium plate supplier ASTM B265 AMS 4911 on 1 September 2026. An eligible source had to be owned by the supplying company and expose a Grade 5 plate or sheet route plus at least one useful field such as specification, condition, thickness, size, mill origin, inspection or certification. Beiyu, marketplaces, directories, third-party rankings and pages without a Grade 5 flat-product route were removed. The order records discovery after exclusions; it is not a supplier score.
A public page can identify a likely supply route. It cannot prove allocated stock, a current program approval, final schedule, lot compliance or suitability of material not yet produced or assigned. Those points remain dated quotation fields.
Company pages that met the rule
| Company source | Page role | Visible fields | RFQ check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jucheng Titanium | Grade 5 flat-plate product page | Ti-6Al-4V identity, B265 route, dimensions, condition and certificate options | Return the exact standard edition, plate definition, heat treatment, size tolerance and inspection plan |
| TSM Technology | Ti-6Al-4V sheet/plate page | Grade 5 forms, size/condition language, surface and document route | Separate sheet from plate and quote only the ordered thickness, width, length and condition |
| HC Titanium | Grade 5 plate/sheet page | Alloy, available dimensions, finish, testing and processing context | Bind every test and tolerance statement to the offered heat, size and standard |
| XYB Metal | Grade 5 plate product page | Flat-product range, specification references and order fields | Confirm melt source, manufacturing route, condition, dimensional convention and records |
| voestalpine Specialty Metals | Company aerospace plate flyer | Aerospace Ti-6Al-4V plate route, size context and specification positioning | Verify current mill/source approval, ordered AMS revision, condition and customer-specific controls |
The pages span producer, processor, distributor and aerospace-stock routes. Those business roles change which party controls melting, rolling, heat treatment, ultrasonic testing, cutting and release documentation. A buyer should ask who performs each operation and which named organization appears on the original mill certificate rather than treating a stockholder page as proof of mill approval.
Separate B265 plate from AMS 4911 material
| Decision | Choices visible in the source set | Required written return |
|---|---|---|
| Specification | ASTM B265 Grade 5, AMS 4911, drawing/customer specification or a controlled combination | One governing document list with revision, precedence and permitted substitutions |
| Condition | Annealed, stress-relieved, solution treated and aged, or buyer-defined thermal history | Ordered condition, heat-treatment route, furnace record and mechanical acceptance |
| Melt and source | VAR sequence, approved mill/source, country of melt and heat identity | Original MTC, heat trace, source approval evidence and no unapproved remelt substitution |
| Geometry | Sheet or plate, thickness, width, length, flatness, edge and cut allowance | Signed size return, governing tolerance and finished usable envelope |
| Inspection | Chemistry, tensile, surface, flatness and ultrasonic class where ordered | Methods, sample orientation, acceptance criteria, lot link and reports |
Do not use “Grade 5 plate” as a complete line item. B265 and AMS 4911 can be invoked for different procurement systems, and a supplier listing both does not mean one piece automatically satisfies both. Define whether thickness is nominal or minimum after grinding, whether width/length are mill or finished dimensions, and which flatness rule governs after cutting. For machined parts, preserve enough stock for scale removal and cleanup while preventing a casual oversize substitution that changes buy weight. If ultrasonic examination is required, name the procedure, scanning coverage, reference standard, acceptance class and whether testing occurs before or after cutting. Customer or aerospace approval must be returned as current evidence for the actual mill and process route; it cannot be inferred from the alloy name.
For a machined aerospace bracket, work backward from the final datum scheme. Mark rolling direction on the cut plan, reserve sacrificial cleanup stock, identify whether transverse test orientation matters, and state whether a nested blank may rotate. Ask how the processor manages saw kerf, thermal cutting prohibition, corner damage and plate flattening after subdivision. If the design carries fracture-critical controls, add grain-flow orientation, beta-transus exposure limits, macroetch or damage-tolerance records supplied by the drawing authority. These project-specific controls are different from a general B265 commodity plate purchase and should never be added to a supplier score without being written into the enquiry.
A conflict between visible page fields is a verification prompt, not proof that a company cannot supply the item. Preserve the difference, request a clean technical return and let the purchase order control final identity, geometry, responsibility and acceptance.
Send one controlled RFQ
| RFQ line | Buyer input | Supplier return |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Grade 5 / UNS R56400, specification/revision and end-use control | Exact offered documents, exceptions and precedence |
| Plate | Thickness × width × length, quantity, usable area, flatness and edge condition | Finished dimensions, tolerances, cut plan and weight basis |
| Process | Melt source, rolling route, condition, surface and thermal restrictions | Mill/process route, heat treatment and traceability map |
| Testing | Chemistry, tensile orientation, UT, surface and dimensional inspection | ITP, methods, criteria, sampling and lot results |
| Documents | Original MTC, CoC, heat-treatment/UT records and source approvals | Document index tied to heat, plate and cut pieces |
| Commercial | Quantity, machining allowance, packing, required date and destination | Current stock/production status, schedule, validity and exclusions |
Remove any source that cannot return the exact material, deliverable, finished geometry and acceptance evidence. Compare price, schedule and terms only after technical lines, responsibility boundary and document scope are aligned.
Where Beiyu fits
Beiyu is outside the five-company set. Its Grade 5 plate enquiry route asks for B265, AMS 4911 or customer specification with revision; plate dimensions and tolerances; annealed or other ordered condition; melt/source restrictions; surface and edge; mechanical/UT plan; original mill documents; quantity, cut allowance, packing and destination. No aerospace or customer approval is claimed unless the requested evidence is returned for the exact source and route.
The fields in this section describe only Beiyu’s published enquiry route. They do not score the companies above and do not transfer to another company’s catalogue.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B265, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Beiyu supplies thin plate and sheet 0.5 to 3 mm thick in widths to 1500 mm, and heavy plate 3 to 70 mm thick in widths to 2500 mm, both in lengths to 6000 mm, with surface condition stated on the order.
These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B265 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
