A tungsten bar search can return pure tungsten, a tungsten-base heavy alloy, copper-tungsten or even consumer counterweights. Those are not interchangeable purchase lines. This comparison keeps four company-owned pure-tungsten rod or bar pages separate and shows the fields a buyer still needs before comparing quotations.
How the four company sources were selected
We froze the query pure tungsten bar rod supplier manufacturer on 1 September 2026. Eligible results were accessible company-owned pages that expressly offered pure tungsten rod or bar and exposed a material, dimension, process or finish field. Beiyu, marketplaces, directories, third-party lists, duplicate domains and pages limited to tungsten carbide or heavy-alloy counterweights were removed. The sequence below is the dated discovery order after those exclusions; it is not a performance score.
A public page can identify a likely supply route. It cannot prove the current heat, capacity, lead time, inspection result or fitness of material that has not yet been produced or allocated. Those points remain dated quotation fields.
Company pages that met the rule
| Company source | Page role | Visible fields | RFQ check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Midwest Tungsten Service | Stocked/custom pure-W rod page | 99.95% pure W; many diameter and length selections; lot-controlled pressed/sintered route | Confirm exact diameter, tolerance, length, surface and material certificate; its related bar page labels B760, a flat-product specification |
| Elmet Technologies | US manufacturer and stocking rod page | Tungsten rod for semiconductor, lighting, furnace and diode uses; common-size route | Return finished diameter, length, finish, tolerance and lot test; equipment and process statements are not finished dimensions |
| Eagle Alloys | Distributor/supplier hub with rod and bar | Pure W forms; wire/rod/bar published from 0.0002 to 8 in diameter and to 20 ft | The lower bound includes wire and is not a bar minimum; stock is subject to prior sale; page correctly limits B760 to flat product |
| Stanford Materials | Supplier rod/bar product page | Pure W; stated 99.95-99.999% purity; above 4.0 mm diameter; polished or chemically cleaned | Require length, tolerance, condition, inspection and documents; customizable wording does not establish current availability |
The pages do not use one common definition of bar. Eagle’s combined range begins in wire territory, while Stanford starts above 4 mm and Midwest exposes discrete choices. Put the required finished diameter and length on the enquiry instead of treating a website’s broad range as an equivalent offer.
Separate pure tungsten from heavy alloy before comparing range
| Decision | Choices visible in the source set | Required written return |
|---|---|---|
| Material route | Pure unalloyed W, tungsten heavy alloy or copper-tungsten | One chemistry or alloy class tied to the quotation and certificate |
| Product form | Round rod, round bar, rectangular bar, wire or machined blank | Finished cross-section and the supplier’s contractual form label |
| Manufacturing condition | Pressed/sintered, worked, swaged, stress relieved, ground or cleaned | Named delivered condition and any machining allowance |
| Specification basis | Pure-W chemistry/drawing route or B777 heavy-alloy route when applicable | Do not use B760 as the pure-W rod/bar product specification |
| Dimensions | Diameter or width/thickness, length, straightness and tolerances | Finished values in one unit system plus measurable acceptance |
ASTM B760 covers tungsten plate, sheet and foil. It does not become a pure-tungsten rod specification because a store page prints it beside a bar. ASTM B777 is a separate route for machinable tungsten-base high-density metal when that material is ordered. The RFQ should therefore identify the material route first and use the drawing, chemistry, dimensions, condition and agreed tests to define pure-W rod or bar.
A page conflict is a verification prompt, not a finding that a company cannot supply the item. Quote the page as observed, ask for a clean technical offer and make the purchase order control the final identity, form and acceptance route.

Send one controlled RFQ
| RFQ line | Buyer input | Supplier return |
|---|---|---|
| Material identity | Pure W chemistry/purity or named heavy-alloy class | Exact offered material tied to the lot record |
| Form and route | Round/rectangular rod or bar; pressed/sintered and any subsequent working | Manufacturing and delivered condition |
| Finished geometry | Diameter or section, length, tolerances, straightness, ends | One dimensioned line in the order unit |
| Surface and machining | As-sintered, cleaned, ground or other finish; allowance and roughness if critical | Finish method and measurable acceptance |
| Inspection and documents | Chemistry, density if relevant, dimensional/surface checks, sampling and certificate type | Test and traceability schedule tied to heat/lot |
| Commercial controls | Quantity, packing, marking, required date and destination | Current availability, lead time, validity and exceptions |
Remove any source that cannot return the exact material, form, condition and finished dimensions. Compare price and lead time only after the technical lines and document scope are aligned.
Where Beiyu fits
Beiyu is outside the four-company set. Its current tungsten product source separates pure W from ASTM B777 heavy alloy, lists pure-W bar/rod at 1.6 to 70 mm diameter and makes length a drawing field. Surface options are black/as-sintered, ground or cleaned. These values are an enquiry envelope, not stock. Beiyu confirms material route, diameter, length, condition, surface, inspection and documents at quotation.
The figures in this section describe only Beiyu’s published enquiry route. They do not score the companies above and do not transfer to another company’s catalogue.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B348, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Round bar runs 1 to 500 mm diameter, square 3 x 3 to 500 x 500 mm, flat 3 x 12.7 to 30 x 500 mm and hexagon up to 17 mm across flats, in lengths to 6000 mm. The precision ground route covers 3.175 to 25.4 mm diameter at +/-0.0127 mm, tightened to +/-0.0076 mm against a drawing, with straightness held to 0.5 mm per metre and 0.3 mm per metre at 25 mm and under.
Bar from the precision ground line runs five inspections at 100 percent coverage rather than by sampling: ultrasonic, eddy current, surface optical, infrared laser diameter and straightness. The ultrasonic parameters are immersion method, focused longitudinal wave, 100 percent of the circumference, a 1.2 mm flat-bottom hole reference at 80 percent screen height, 10 MHz, Class A1, to AMS-STD-2154 or GB/T 5193. These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B348 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
