Product Introduction
Titanium Pipe Fittings for Corrosion-Resistant Piping Systems
Beiyu supplies titanium pipe fittings for chemical processing, seawater piping, heat exchanger systems, pressure equipment, industrial skids and other corrosion-resistant piping projects. Common product types include 45-degree elbows, 90-degree elbows, 180-degree elbows, equal tees, reducing tees, concentric reducers, eccentric reducers, stub ends, caps and custom fittings made according to drawings.
Most RFQs for titanium fittings are based on Grade 2 for general corrosion resistance, Grade 7 where palladium-enhanced corrosion resistance is required, and Grade 12 for higher strength and improved crevice corrosion resistance. Material selection should be confirmed according to medium, temperature, pressure, welding plan and applicable project standard.
Grades and Standards
| Common grades | Grade 2, Grade 7, Grade 12; other titanium grades can be reviewed according to drawing and application. |
|---|---|
| Material standard | ASTM B363 / ASME SB363 for titanium and titanium alloy fittings. |
| Dimensional references | ASME B16.9, ASME B16.11, MSS SP-43, or project drawing requirements depending on fitting type. |
| Connection types | Butt weld, socket weld, threaded, stub end and custom machined connection forms. |
Size, Wall Thickness and Surface Condition
RFQs should specify nominal pipe size, outside diameter, wall thickness or schedule, fitting radius, end preparation, tolerance and quantity. Common requests include small-diameter instrument piping fittings, process piping elbows and reducers, and custom fittings for titanium equipment assemblies.
Surface condition may include pickled, blasted, machined or cleaned surfaces depending on the fitting type and project requirement. For welded systems, buyers should also confirm bevel requirements, weld preparation and whether the fitting must match ASTM B861, ASTM B862 or ASTM B338 titanium pipe or tube used in the same assembly.
Common Applications
| Application named in the enquiry |
|---|
| Chemical processing lines handling chlorides, acids or other corrosive media |
| Seawater and brine piping systems |
| Heat exchanger and condenser piping |
| Pressure vessel nozzles and equipment connections |
| Electrochemical, desalination and industrial fluid systems |
Inspection and Documentation
| Scope | Items |
|---|---|
| Standard procurement review | Mill test certificate, EN 10204 3.1 documentation, chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional inspection, visual inspection records |
| Specified on request | PMI testing, liquid penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, pressure testing, third-party inspection |
The first row is what is requested for procurement review. The second row is written into the purchase order when the project requires it.
Packaging and Export Information
| Item | Content |
|---|---|
| Protection | Protection from surface damage and mixed material contamination during packing |
| Typical export packing | Protective wrapping, labels by grade and size, wooden cases or pallets suitable for sea or air shipment |
| Packing list should match | Item number, grade, size, quantity, and heat number where traceability is required |
RFQ Information Needed
| RFQ field | What to state |
|---|---|
| Fitting type | Elbow, tee, reducer, stub end, cap or custom drawing |
| Grade and standard | For example ASTM B363 Grade 2 |
| Dimensions | NPS or OD, wall thickness or schedule, radius, end preparation |
| Commercial | Quantity and destination port |
| Documentation | Required certificate, inspection and third-party documentation |
| Service conditions | Application medium, temperature and pressure, if material selection support is needed |
FAQ
Which titanium grade is commonly used for pipe fittings?
Grade 2 is commonly selected for corrosion-resistant industrial piping because it combines good weldability and corrosion resistance. Grade 7 and Grade 12 may be considered for more demanding chemical or crevice corrosion environments.
Can titanium fittings be supplied according to drawings?
Yes. For non-standard elbows, reducers, stub ends or machined fittings, send drawings with dimensions, tolerances, material grade, surface condition and inspection requirements.
What documents should be requested for chemical projects?
For chemical equipment and piping projects, buyers usually request mill test certificate, EN10204 3.1, heat number traceability, chemical composition, mechanical properties and dimensional inspection. Additional NDT or third-party inspection should be stated in the RFQ.

The sizes and forms fittings are supplied in
The section above lists what a fitting RFQ should carry. These are the ranges those fields are quoted within, so an enquiry can be checked before it is sent.
| Field | Range supplied |
|---|---|
| Nominal size | DN 15 to DN 1200 |
| Fitting forms | Elbow, reducer, tee, stub end and cap |
| Surface as delivered | Sand blasted or acid washed |
| Materials beyond titanium | Zirconium, nickel, Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy |
Fitting dimensions are read together with the pipe schedule tables in ASME B36.10 and B36.19, and where the order cites ASME B16.28 for short-radius elbows and returns, that reference belongs on the line too. Those documents fix geometry rather than material, so the material specification is a separate line and it is the one the mill test certificate reports against.
Two fields decide whether a quotation can be issued on the first pass. The wall thickness or schedule has to be stated with the nominal size, since one nominal size covers several wall thicknesses, and the elbow radius has to be named as long or short, since the two are different products at the same DN. The ranges above are the Beiyu Titanium supply envelope, and sizes or forms outside them are quoted against the drawing.

Titanium accessories categorySpecification detail with sources
The Beiyu Titanium supply range covers pipe fittings from DN15 to DN1200 in five forms, elbows, reducers, tees, stub ends and caps, made by forging and machining and finished sandblasted or acid-washed. The same range carries titanium alongside zirconium, nickel, Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy, so the material is a separate line on the order from the fitting form and the nominal size.
Four documents are named against fittings in those ranges: ASME B16.9, ASME B16.28 where an order still cites it, and ANSI/ASME B36.10 and B36.19. They are listed once for the whole entry rather than against a particular form or a particular material, so this page does not pair any one of them with elbows or with titanium specifically. What an enquiry needs to settle first is which of the five forms it wants, since a nominal size on its own fits all five, and which material, since the size range does not change when the material does.
