Grade 9 titanium tube, Ti-3Al-2.5V, sits between commercially pure titanium and Grade 5 in strength and forming behavior. The buying route can be ASTM B338 industrial tube, an AMS aerospace tubing specification, annealed material or a cold-worked and stress-relieved condition. Five company-owned pages met the source rule, but the visible ranges are only comparable after tube route, finished OD and wall, condition, manufacturing process, inspection and program approval are frozen.
How the five company sources were selected
We froze the query Grade 9 titanium tube supplier ASTM B338 AMS 4943 on 1 September 2026. Eligible sources had to be company-owned, identify Grade 9/Ti-3Al-2.5V tubing and expose a standard, condition, seamless/welded route, dimension, test or traceability field. Beiyu, excluded-geography companies, marketplaces, directories, bicycle-brand pages and third-party lists were excluded. The order records the discovery set after exclusions; it is not an aerospace approval list or performance ranking.
A public page can identify a likely supply route. It cannot prove allocated stock, current program approval, final schedule, lot compliance or suitability of material not yet produced or assigned. Those points remain dated quotation fields.
Company pages that met the rule
| Company source | Page role | Visible fields | RFQ check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alleima | Company Grade 9 datasheet | Seamless tube/pipe material, B338 mechanical-condition context and published size ranges | Confirm current orderable size, exact condition, manufacturing route, source and release tests |
| Dynamic Metals | Grade 9 tubing page | Grade 9 tube with AMS 4943/4944/4945 procurement routes | Choose the exact AMS revision/condition and return approved source, dimensions and certificate scope |
| Titanium Processing Center | Tube stock page | Grade 9/UNS R56320, B338, seamless and welded stock tables by OD and wall | Verify current line-item stock, domestic/import source, condition, cut length and original mill documents |
| ZXB Titanium | Grade 9 seamless tube page | B338 route, OD/wall/length range and optional hydro/UT/ECT/MTC fields | Bind route, dimensions and each ordered test to the actual lot and acceptance rule |
| RIC Tubes | Grade 9 tube page | B338 identity, seamless/welded choice and RFQ inputs | Resolve manufacturing route, condition, finished geometry, tests and production status in writing |
The set spans producer, aerospace stockholder, service center and export-manufacturer roles. A company can have valid Grade 9 capability without holding the requested size today, while a stockholder can offer a finished tube without controlling melting or cold reduction. The quotation should therefore show original mill, heat, tube-making route, final thermal/mechanical condition, processor, test laboratory and stock or production status for the exact line.
Do not mix B338 and AMS tube conditions
| Decision | Choices visible in the source set | Required written return |
|---|---|---|
| Specification | ASTM B338/SB-338, AMS 4943/4944/4945 or customer drawing | One revision and condition per line, with precedence and deviations |
| Identity | Grade 9 / UNS R56320 heat chemistry and approved melt/tube source | Original heat values, source evidence and tube-to-heat trace |
| Condition | Annealed, cold-worked/stress-relieved or specification-defined condition | Process history and actual mechanical results for the ordered wall |
| Manufacture/geometry | Seamless or welded, OD, wall, length, ovality, straightness, ends and surface | Finished measurements, tolerance source, route and repair rule |
| Acceptance | Chemistry, tensile, flattening/flaring, hydro/pneumatic, UT/ET, surface and cleanliness | Applicable tests, calibration, coverage, sample/lot, criteria and reports |
Grade 9 tube strength and ductility can depend on the ordered condition. Never copy a mechanical number from a page without the matching specification, thickness or wall band and thermal/mechanical state. The same caution applies to dimensional ranges: a catalogue maximum does not prove that the requested OD/wall ratio can be produced, straightened and tested with current tooling. State seamless or welded explicitly. If a welded route is acceptable, define seam process, seam treatment, examination and repair limits; if seamless is required, ask for the piercing/extrusion and cold-reduction route. Keep tube language separate from pipe schedule conventions.
For an aerospace hydraulic line, begin with the approved material and process specification, not a generic B338 callout. Provide finished OD and wall, bend radii, flared or welded end design, pressure and fatigue basis, cleanliness level, internal-surface limit and any restriction on weld seams. Ask how the tube will be straightened, cut, deburred, capped and protected from particles. If the line is bent after receipt, define sample bends, surface inspection and proof testing on representative material. Program source approval, special-process qualification and change notification must be returned for the actual mill and tube route; an aerospace application paragraph on a public page is not approval evidence.
For a bicycle frame builder, the controlling vocabulary changes to butting profile, miter allowance, ovalization, draw-bench transition, head-tube junction and weld-sequence distortion. Provide the actual tube set rather than one generic diameter: top tube, down tube, seat tube and stays can need different walls and tapers. Agree how ends are marked so the butted zones survive trimming, and whether the supplier or frame shop verifies concentricity after swaging. Coupon welds, frame alignment, fatigue fixtures and rider-use assumptions belong to the finished structure program, not to the raw tube certificate.
A conflict between visible page fields is a verification prompt, not proof that a company cannot supply the item. Preserve the difference, request a clean technical return and let the purchase order control final identity, geometry, responsibility and acceptance.

Send one controlled RFQ

| Process | Seamless/welded route, reduction, anneal/stress relief, straightening and surface | Complete route, thermal/mechanical history and repair rules |
| Testing | Chemistry, tensile, flattening/flaring, pressure, UT/ET, dimensions and surface | ITP, calibration, coverage, acceptance, lot and actual reports |
| Cleanliness/trace | Interior condition, caps, marking, MTC, processor records and change control | Release index linked to heat, tube lot, bundle and each length |
| Commercial | Sample/first article, quantity, packing, required date and destination | Stock/production status, MOQ, schedule, validity and exclusions |
Remove any source that cannot return the exact material, deliverable, finished geometry and acceptance evidence. Compare price, schedule and terms only after technical lines, responsibility boundary and document scope are aligned.
Where Beiyu fits
Beiyu is outside the five-company set. Its Grade 9 tube enquiry route asks for the exact B338/AMS/customer revision and condition, Grade 9/R56320 heat identity, approved source if required, seamless or welded route, OD/wall/length and tolerances, surface and cleanliness, mechanical and tube-specific testing, original traceability, sample or first article, quantity, capped packing and destination. A range page is not treated as proof of live stock or aerospace approval.
The fields in this section describe only Beiyu’s published enquiry route. They do not score the companies above and do not transfer to another company’s catalogue.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B338, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Beiyu supplies seamless tube OD 5 to 325 mm with 0.5 to 12 mm wall in lengths to 12000 mm, welded tube OD 6.35 to 1219 mm with 0.5 to 25.4 mm wall in lengths to 22000 mm, and capillary OD 1 to 5 mm with 0.1 to 2 mm wall.
These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B338 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
