Grade 7 titanium bar is a palladium-bearing, commercially pure-strength alloy selected for specific corrosion problems, not a universally superior bar. A buyer must connect UNS R52400 heat chemistry to ASTM B348 bar form, finished section, condition, surface, tolerance, ultrasonic or other inspection and the actual process environment. The five sources below identify Grade 7 bar, but their catalogue claims become comparable only after one line-by-line return schedule is used.
How this five-company source set was built
We froze the query Grade 7 titanium bar supplier ASTM B348 R52400 on 1 September 2026. Eligible sources had to be owned by the supplying company, explicitly identify Grade 7/R52400 bar or rod and expose a standard, size, process, surface, test or traceability field. Beiyu, excluded-geography companies, marketplaces, directories and rankings were removed. We also rejected an obsolete pipe/tube reference and one internally inconsistent chemistry row on source pages; neither appears as a fact in this article.
| Company | Page type | What the page exposes | What the buyer must verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tricor Metals | Service-center bar page | Grade 7 bar and ASTM/ASME B348 route | Return the exact stock/production line, parent heat, cut size, condition and original documents |
| Chalco Titanium | Dedicated Grade 7 bar page | R52400 round bar, B348, size, processing and document claims | Bind the visible range to actual heat chemistry, finished geometry, route and inspection |
| Lihua Group | Grade 7 bar page | Grade 7/B348 bar route and commercial RFQ fields | Ignore the page's inconsistent chemistry row; require the governing standard and actual MTC |
| Continental Steel & Tube | Grade 7 supply page | Grade 7 forms with bar/wire SB-348 route | Use only the current bar route and return source, size, condition and certificate scope |
| Emily Pipe | Grade 7 bar page | R52400 bar, B348/B348M and project-specific RFQ fields | Return exact dimensions, tolerance, surface, inspection, production status and heat evidence |

Keep palladium heat identity and B348 bar form together
Start with actual Pd chemistry tied to the heat, then define the bar. A Grade 7 sheet or tube certificate cannot stand in for a B348 bar even when the UNS number is the same. State finished diameter or section, tolerance, straightness over a gauge length, end preparation and surface route. If bar will be machined into a crevice-critical component, supply the service envelope and geometry to the corrosion authority; a supplier’s application list cannot establish service life. Optional UT, PMI or product analysis must be named with methods, sampling and acceptance rather than requested as an undefined certificate phrase.
| Decision field | Buyer input | Required supplier return |
|---|---|---|
| Alloy identity | Grade 7 / UNS R52400, ordered Pd/interstitial limits and B348 revision | Original actual heat chemistry and piece-to-heat trace |
| Bar form | Round, square, flat or hex; diameter/section, length, straightness and ends | Finished dimensions, tolerance source, method and cut plan |
| Condition/surface | Annealed state, rolled/forged route, peeled/turned/ground or pickled finish | Thermal/mechanical history, surface process and clean-up allowance |
| Corrosion basis | Media, concentration, temperature, aeration, flow, contaminants and crevices | Supplier exceptions plus buyer/design-authority acceptance |
| Acceptance | Chemistry, mechanical, UT if ordered, dimensions, surface and contamination | ITP, sampling, coverage, criteria, lot definition and reports |
Where quotations diverge in practice
For a valve stem or pump shaft in a chloride-bearing process, provide the complete stream chemistry, operating and cleaning temperatures, pressure, velocity, stagnant periods, seal design and crevice locations. Translate the finished drawing into bar stock diameter, grip and chuck allowance, straightness, surface and end condition. Decide whether heat-to-piece marking survives machining and where the traveler takes over. If galling, wear or threaded contact matters, address mating material, lubrication and surface design separately; Grade 7’s corrosion rationale does not automatically solve tribology or fatigue.

Inspection and traceability traps
Grade 7 web pages sometimes carry recycled tables from other titanium grades or legacy pipe specifications. Treat the governing B348 edition and the original heat certificate as authoritative, not the webpage. Check that actual chemistry includes the ordered palladium range and that the MTC identifies bar, heat, condition and mechanical results. Keep distributor, mill and processor responsibilities visible through cutting and grinding. A statement such as “3.1 certificate available” must be converted into a document index showing who issued each record and which heat, parent bar and cut piece it covers.
Send one controlled RFQ return schedule
Send the same return schedule to every candidate and require line-by-line answers. Blank cells, unpriced options and exceptions should remain visible so that an attractive total cannot conceal a different material route or document package.
| RFQ group | Buyer states | Supplier returns |
|---|---|---|
| Service/spec | Full environment, Grade 7/R52400 and exact B348/SB-348 revision | Offered source/route, actual heat identity, deviations and service boundary |
| Geometry | Section, finished size, length, tolerance, straightness and ends | Capability, measurement method, stock size, cut plan and allowance |
| Process | Melt/working route, condition, surface, cleaning and prohibited repair | Mill/processor sequence, thermal history and finish controls |
| Testing | Chemistry/Pd, mechanical, UT/PMI if ordered, dimensions and surface | ITP, methods, sampling, coverage, acceptance and actual reports |
| Traceability | Original MTC, processor records, marking and piece map | Release index linked to heat, parent bar, cut lengths and remnants |
| Commercial | Quantity, packing, destination and required date | Stock/production state, MOQ, yield, schedule, validity and exclusions |
How Beiyu handles the same enquiry
Beiyu is outside the five-company comparison. Its Grade 7 bar enquiry route asks for the process chemistry and corrosion-design boundary, Grade 7/R52400 identity with actual palladium result, B348/SB-348 revision, bar section and finished dimensions, condition and surface, machining allowance, straightness and ends, UT/PMI or other inspection where ordered, original traceability, quantity, packing and destination. Grade 7 availability is confirmed for the exact line rather than inferred from another product form.
Use the Grade 7 titanium bar, general titanium bar suppliers comparison, ASTM B348 bar and billet guide, titanium bar grade selection guide to check the product route, the broader supplier landscape and the relevant specification/RFQ controls. Send one controlled RFQ with drawings, quantity, inspection scope, required date and destination; compare returned exceptions before comparing totals.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B348, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Round bar runs 1 to 500 mm diameter, square 3 x 3 to 500 x 500 mm, flat 3 x 12.7 to 30 x 500 mm and hexagon up to 17 mm across flats, in lengths to 6000 mm. The precision ground route covers 3.175 to 25.4 mm diameter at +/-0.0127 mm, tightened to +/-0.0076 mm against a drawing, with straightness held to 0.5 mm per metre and 0.3 mm per metre at 25 mm and under.
Bar from the precision ground line runs five inspections at 100 percent coverage rather than by sampling: ultrasonic, eddy current, surface optical, infrared laser diameter and straightness. The ultrasonic parameters are immersion method, focused longitudinal wave, 100 percent of the circumference, a 1.2 mm flat-bottom hole reference at 80 percent screen height, 10 MHz, Class A1, to AMS-STD-2154 or GB/T 5193. These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B348 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
