Grade 12 Titanium Bar Suppliers: Five Company Pages Compared

Grade 12 titanium bar combines a commercially pure titanium base with nominal nickel and molybdenum additions for selected corrosion duties. Buyers should anchor the order to Grade 12, UNS R53400 and the chosen ASTM B348 revision, because online catalogue rows sometimes carry conflicting identifiers or chemistry. Bar shape, annealed condition, surface, tolerance, inspection and traceability still need line-level agreement. This comparison records what five company-owned pages expose and what remains to be proved before award.

How this five-company source set was built

We froze the search Grade 12 titanium bar supplier R53400 ASTM B348 on 1 September 2026. Eligible sources had to be owned by the supplying company, identify Grade 12 bar or a Grade 12 material route that connects to its bar range, and provide a useful buying field. Beiyu, marketplaces, directories, rankings and excluded geographies were omitted. Conflicting UNS labels, standard suffixes and composition rows on source pages were not copied as facts. The purchase order and original mill certificate remain the controlling evidence.

Company-owned pages and the quotation-level evidence still required.
Company Page type What the page exposes What the buyer must verify
Titanium Industries Grade 12 alloy page Alloy context, product forms and corrosion/application prompts Correct R53400 identity, actual bar line, source, specification and chemistry
Tricor Metals Service-center bar page Grade 12 bar listing with specification and size context Exact B348 route, standard revision, original heat records and cut trace
Supra Alloys Rod, bar and wire page Grade 12 within a stocked or sourced bar-form portfolio Current line, source mill, size, condition, finish and inspection
TSM Titanium Grade 12 bar page Dimensions, standards, condition, processing and testing prompts R53400 actual heat, one governing route and lot-specific results
Lihua Group Grade 12 bar page Bar form, dimensions, condition and surface fields Original MTC controls chemistry; return offered size, route and inspection

Control R53400 identity before corrosion claims

Write Grade 12 / UNS R53400 and the exact ASTM B348 revision into the RFQ. Do not rely on a page title or a copied chemistry table when the page contains internal conflicts. Require actual heat chemistry on the original MTC and reconcile nickel and molybdenum results with the ordered grade limits. Service suitability still belongs to the equipment designer: chloride concentration, temperature, pH, oxidizers, crevices, deposits, galvanic contacts and upset conditions affect the decision. Supplier literature can support screening, but it cannot replace a documented corrosion review for the operating envelope.

Fields to freeze before technical and commercial comparison.
Decision field Buyer input Required supplier return
Identity Grade 12 / UNS R53400 and actual heat chemistry Original MTC, source mill, heat number and deviations
Specification ASTM B348 revision, bar section and annealed condition Exact offered route and applicable table or customer clause
Dimensions Finished diameter/section, length, tolerance, straightness and ends Stock-to-finish plan, gauge length, method and actual capability
Surface/testing Finish, defect-removal rule, UT/PMI if required and acceptance Processor route, inspection coverage, criteria and reports
Service boundary Process chemistry, temperature, crevices, cycling and fabrication Material exceptions for buyer/design-authority disposition

Where quotations diverge in practice

For a pump shaft or agitator component in hot brine, send the full process window instead of the phrase chloride service. Identify normal and upset temperatures, concentration range, aeration, pH, solids, cleaning agents, stagnant zones and crevices. The designer should determine whether Grade 12 bar is appropriate and which weld, heat-treatment or machining restrictions apply. The supplier return should focus on manufacturable evidence: bar size, parent stock, annealed condition, surface, straightness, clean-up allowance, UT or PMI scope and documents. Separate the material decision from the claim that a catalogue-listed grade is available today. Include evaporation, fouling, gasket geometry, shutdown wetting, biocide exposure and startup transients when they can change the local environment around the component.

Receiving inspection and traceability traps

Receiving inspection starts with identity. Match Grade 12, R53400, heat number and packing marks; investigate any different UNS or unexplained composition. Check the controlling B348 revision, condition, actual mechanical results and every ordered inspection report. If the bar was cut or ground by a service center, require the original mill certificate plus the processor’s trace and dimensional release. Inspect ends, surface discontinuities, diameter and straightness using the agreed methods. Preserve heat identity on remnants, because a visually similar Grade 2 bar cannot be separated reliably after paperwork is lost.

Send one controlled RFQ return schedule

Send the same return schedule to every candidate and require line-by-line answers. Keep blank cells, options and exceptions visible. Compare the material route, dimensions, processing, inspection and certificate package before totals, because a lower price may describe a different deliverable. Ask each seller to date the return, name the quoted source and state how long technical and commercial assumptions remain valid. Record every clarification in the final order instead of leaving it in a separate email chain.

How Beiyu handles the same enquiry

Beiyu sits outside the five-company comparison. Its Grade 12 bar enquiry route uses Grade 12/R53400 and the governing B348 revision as fixed inputs, followed by process chemistry and temperature, section, finished dimensions, condition, surface, machining allowance, straightness, ends, ordered UT or PMI, original certificate chain, quantity, packing and destination. Source-page conflicts are not repeated into the quotation; the offered heat and governing order control.

Use the Grade 12 titanium bar, general titanium bar suppliers comparison, ASTM B348 bar and billet guide, titanium bar grade selection guide to verify the product route, broader supplier landscape and adjacent procurement controls. Send the drawing, quantity, inspection scope, required date and destination with the controlled schedule. Resolve every returned exception before award.

Specification detail with sources

Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B348, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.

Round bar runs 1 to 500 mm diameter, square 3 x 3 to 500 x 500 mm, flat 3 x 12.7 to 30 x 500 mm and hexagon up to 17 mm across flats, in lengths to 6000 mm. The precision ground route covers 3.175 to 25.4 mm diameter at +/-0.0127 mm, tightened to +/-0.0076 mm against a drawing, with straightness held to 0.5 mm per metre and 0.3 mm per metre at 25 mm and under.

Bar from the precision ground line runs five inspections at 100 percent coverage rather than by sampling: ultrasonic, eddy current, surface optical, infrared laser diameter and straightness. The ultrasonic parameters are immersion method, focused longitudinal wave, 100 percent of the circumference, a 1.2 mm flat-bottom hole reference at 80 percent screen height, 10 MHz, Class A1, to AMS-STD-2154 or GB/T 5193. These are Beiyu published supply figures and inspection parameters, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to ASTM B348 and are confirmed against the exact edition named on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
