A titanium sputtering-target enquiry is incomplete if it says only titanium, diameter and quantity. Elemental purity, alloy or compound identity, planar or rotary geometry, backing plate, bonding, usable area, grain condition and lot evidence can change both the technical offer and the commercial route. Five company-owned sources met the rule for this comparison.
How the five company sources were selected
We froze the query titanium sputtering target supplier manufacturer purity bonding on 1 September 2026. Eligible sources were accessible company-owned titanium-target pages or company-hosted data sheets that exposed at least one purity, geometry, size, grain, backing or certificate field. Beiyu, geographies excluded by site policy, marketplaces, directories, third-party rankings, coating contractors without a target route and pages limited to titanium dioxide were removed. The sequence below is the dated discovery order after those exclusions, not a supplier score.
A public page can identify a likely supply route. It cannot prove the allocated lot, final schedule, inspection result or suitability of material or equipment that has not yet been produced or assigned. Those points remain dated quotation fields.
Company pages that met the rule
| Company source | Page role | Visible fields | RFQ check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plasmaterials | Titanium target product page | Elemental titanium target route with planar-target and bonding/backing context | Return purity/impurity basis, geometry, drawing, backing, bond method and lot acceptance |
| Heeger Metal | Supplier/manufacturer target page | Grade and elemental-purity labels; flat, rotary and custom shapes; grain/density fields | Do not merge alloy-grade labels with elemental-purity claims; request one composition and lot report |
| HMW Hauner | In-house-produced catalogue | Discrete round/rectangular products with multiple stated purity levels and order fields | Reconfirm the catalogue revision and add backing, bond, usable area, flatness, surface and impurity schedule |
| Umicore Thin Film Products | Company-hosted titanium data sheet | Semiconductor target context with geometry, purity, average-grain and dimension fields | Bind the data-sheet family to one drawing revision, backing route and lot-specific evidence |
| West Titanium | Planar and rotary target page | Circular, rectangular and rotatable shapes; bonding, backing, purity, grain and surface fields | Broad grade and ASTM labels do not define a finished target; require one material, drawing and lot record |
The source set spans a custom industrial route, an online catalogue, a semiconductor data sheet and a research-use SKU. Those are different deliverables. A low price for an unbacked coupon cannot be compared with a finished bonded target until material, geometry, usable area, backing, bond and acceptance evidence are placed on the same line.
Lock material identity before target geometry
| Decision | Choices visible in the source set | Required written return |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Elemental Ti, named titanium alloy or a compound target | One composition/purity definition plus impurity schedule and lot result |
| Target geometry | Planar disc, rectangular plate, ring, tube or rotary target | Dimensioned drawing, usable area, tolerances, surface and balance if applicable |
| Backing system | Unbacked, copper or other backing plate/tube | Backing material, interface preparation and cooling/interface details |
| Bonding route | Indium, elastomer, diffusion, mechanical or supplier-specific route | Named method, coverage/void acceptance and inspection evidence |
| Microstructure | Density, grain size, texture or homogeneity where process-critical | Test method, sampling location, acceptance value and lot record |
Purity is not a complete target specification. Two targets with the same nominal titanium assay can differ in interstitial limits, grain distribution, backing design, bond coverage and usable erosion area. The order should define the deposited material first, then the target assembly and the evidence needed to accept it.
A page conflict is a verification prompt, not a finding that a company cannot supply the item. Record the page as observed, ask for a clean technical return and make the purchase order control the final material, geometry, responsibility and acceptance route.

Send one controlled RFQ
| RFQ line | Buyer input | Supplier return |
|---|---|---|
| Material and purity | Elemental Ti or exact alloy/compound; impurity limits | Offered composition, purity basis, method and lot results |
| Geometry | Planar/rotary form, drawing, dimensions, tolerances, usable area | Signed drawing and finished dimensional report |
| Backing and bond | Backing material, cooling interface, bond method and coverage | Assembly route, void/coverage evidence and repair limits |
| Structure and surface | Density, grain/texture if needed, finish, cleanliness and handling | Test reports, surface acceptance and packaging method |
| Documents | CoA/MTC, traceability, inspection plan, drawing revision and change control | Document index tied to target and backing lots |
| Commercial | Quantity, chamber/tool, required date, destination and reclaim option | Current availability, schedule, validity and exceptions |
Remove any source that cannot return the exact material, deliverable, finished geometry and acceptance evidence. Compare commercial terms only after the technical lines, responsibility boundary and document scope are aligned.
Where Beiyu fits
Beiyu is outside the five-company set. Its current metal sputtering-target product route accepts elemental titanium and custom titanium/alloy enquiries and asks for target material, purity, shape, finished drawing, backing/bonding requirement, surface, quantity and inspection documents. Those are enquiry fields rather than a claim that every combination is available.
The fields in this section describe only Beiyu’s published enquiry route. They do not score the companies above and do not transfer to another company’s catalogue.

Specification detail with sources
Beiyu Titanium publishes this list and is not part of the comparison above. For readers who want the publisher’s own figures on the same basis they would ask of any supplier on this page, the material is specified to ASTM B348 and ASTM B265, and each order carries an EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate with heat and pour numbers by order scope.
Targets are machined to the drawing rather than from a size table. Beiyu machines them on lathe and five axis CNC in titanium, zirconium, tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium and nickel alloys, from plate 0.5 to 70 mm thick or from round bar 1 to 500 mm diameter depending on the target geometry.
These are Beiyu published supply and process figures, not limits taken from the standard; limit values belong to the standards named above and are confirmed against the exact edition on the purchase order. Certification is stated as a production capability, and no stock position, delivery time or price is implied by any figure on this page.
