Titanium

Titanium materials and titanium-alloy product forms for machining, fabrication, corrosion-service equipment and project procurement.

Beiyu supplies titanium and titanium alloy materials for overseas buyers who need traceable stock for machining, fabrication, corrosion-resistant equipment and project procurement. The titanium range includes bar, sheet, plate, tube, pipe, wire, billet, forgings, anodes, porous titanium materials, clad titanium and drawing-based components. Common commercial and alloy grades include Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 5, Grade 7, Grade 9 and Grade 12, depending on strength, corrosion service, forming requirements and final application.RFQs should specify grade, ASTM or AMS standard, size range, tolerance, surface condition, quantity and documentation requirement. For project orders, drawings, service medium, operating temperature, inspection scope and packing method help confirm the correct material route before quotation. Common documents may include mill test certificate, heat number traceability, chemical composition, mechanical properties and packing photos when requested by the buyer.

The document set is also where a second question lands. Ordering to ASTM and AMS together covers what an order has to carry when it names both specification systems at once.

Specification detail with sources

The titanium ranges quoted across this category come from the Beiyu Titanium supply ranges rather than from any one product page. Those ranges put round bar at 1 mm to 500 mm in diameter with length to 6000 mm, thin plate and sheet at 0.5 mm to 3 mm thick in widths to 1500 mm, plate at 3 mm to 70 mm thick in widths to 2500 mm, seamless tube at outside diameter 5 mm to 325 mm with wall 0.5 mm to 12 mm, and forged bar at Ø50 mm to 500 mm with length to 3000 mm. Welded tube, capillary tube and the machined forms carry envelopes of their own, stated on their own pages rather than here.

The standards sit beside them rather than inside them. Bar and billet are quoted against ASTM B348, flat product against ASTM B265, tube and pipe against ASTM B338, B861 and B862, and forgings against ASTM B381, each with its ASME SB adoption, SB348, SB265, SB338 with SB861 and SB862, and SB381 respectively. Which of them a certificate reports against is named on the order, and mill test certification to EN 10204 3.1 carries the heat number through to that report.

Titanium RFQ questions

Which Titanium grade should be specified?

Select the grade by service medium, strength requirement, forming or machining route and any buyer drawing. Common options in this category include Gr 1/2 CP, Gr 5 Ti-6Al-4V, Gr 7 Ti-0.15Pd, Gr 9 Ti-3Al-2.5V.

Which standards apply to Titanium RFQs?

The purchase order should state the applicable material or project standard. Typical references for this category include ASTM B265, ASTM B348, ASTM B338, ASTM B863.

What information should be sent for quotation?

Send grade, standard, dimensions, tolerance, quantity, surface condition, application, destination and required documents such as MTC or EN 10204 3.1.
